The full spectrum of the agricultural economy at this year’s event
Featuring an increased number of international trade visitors, the conclusion of partnerships, as well as a high level of exhibitor satisfaction welcoming visitors to their stands from all over Greece, even from the islands, as well as from Cyprus and the Balkans the 31st International Exhibition of Agricultural Machinery, Equipment & Supplies “Agrotica” continues.
On the third day of the event, visitor flow is on the rise, while the common assessment is that Agrotica covers the entire spectrum of the agricultural economy in terms of exhibits. Attendance is expected to peak by tomorrow, 15 March, the final day of the 31st Agrotica.
Today also marked the successful completion of the scheduled B2B meetings, a programme implemented for the first time at Agrotica in cooperation with the Federation of Industries of Greece (SBE) and the Enterprise Europe Network. In total, meetings with hosted buyers reached 500. In addition, 1,500 meetings took place in the framework of organised group visits from the Balkans. Overall contacts between exhibitors and visitors are also considered particularly satisfactory, with several businesses already closing their first deals.
The proceedings of the 1st Panhellenic Conference of Agrotica titled “From the seed of knowledge… to the fruit of innovation” are also underway, co-organised by TIF-HELEXPO and the School of Agriculture of AUTH, marking the historic anniversary of 100 years since its establishment. In today’s sessions of the conference, held at the “Nikolaos Germanos” Congress Center, key topics include current developments in agricultural science, innovation and agri-food, as well as the future and prospects of Greek agriculture. Beyond the conference, numerous parallel events focusing on the agricultural sector are taking place and will continue until the evening.
At the same time, within the framework of Agrotica, at Pavilion 11 (stand 1), the Institute of Bio-Economy and Agri-Technology of CERTH offers visitors the opportunity to engage with new technologies in the field of agriculture and explore various aspects of its digitalisation: from smart crop monitoring, digital analysis and
Artificial Intelligence, interoperable platforms and sustainable energy & environmental responsibility, to climate data analysis tools, advanced forecasting and simulation models and climate-smart agriculture practices.
The 31st Agrotica hosts 1,520 exhibitors from 42 countries, covering 38,000 m2 of net exhibition space.
Its opening hours are as follows: today, Saturday, the exhibition will remain open until 20:00, while tomorrow, Sunday, it will operate from 10:00 to 19:00.
