B2B meetings and parallel events programme in full progress
The strengthening of professional synergies and the systematic ενημέρωση of the agricultural community on new technological challenges constitute the core of the 31st International Exhibition of Agricultural Machinery, Equipment & Supplies “Agrotica”, which continues until 15 March at the Thessaloniki International Exhibition & Congress Center.
At a time when the primary sector is called upon to adapt to the demands of digital transition and the rationalisation of production costs, the event operates as a structured field of information and business networking for industry professionals. In this context, the Minister of Rural Development and Food, Mr Kostas Tsiaras, visited the exhibition and toured its pavilions, having the opportunity to discuss with exhibitors and producers the modern technological needs of agriculture.
Today, the programme of the event’s parallel activities focuses on the exchange of specialised knowledge. In the morning, the proceedings of the 11th Panhellenic Conference of Agrotica began, titled “From the seed of knowledge… to the fruit of innovation”, co-organised by TIF-HELEXPO and the School of Agriculture of AUTH, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the School’s establishment. During the conference, academics, researchers and professionals examined realistic approaches to smart agriculture. Addressing the conference, the Chairman of the Board of TIF-HELEXPO, Mr Christos Tsentemeidis, stressed: “Our conference coincides with the 100th anniversary of the School of Agriculture of AUTH. Two historic institutions of Thessaloniki consistently join forces, bridging academic research with the real economy. The conference touches on the core of modern challenges: from smart agriculture to sustainability.”
Respectively, strong professional interest is being attracted at Pavilion 11 by the collaboration between TIF-HELEXPO and the Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH) / Institute of Bio-Economy and Agri-Technology, presenting practical solutions around the triptych “Bioeconomy, Energy & Digital Agriculture”.
In the field of commercial partnerships, the programme of pre-arranged B2B meetings is underway, implemented in cooperation with the Federation of Industries of Greece (SBE) and the Enterprise Europe Network. The aim is the organised networking of Greek businesses, alongside the hosting of international trade visitors through the Hosted Buyers programme.
